The designer Iason Rouvas was born in Queens and spent most of his life there, with a few early years in Greece. He was raised in construction since the age of 12, driving the van since 15, and running glazing jobs while studying architecture and continuing in high-rise construction. He always designed and freelanced while working with some of the greatest architects in Queens and NYC. Architecture was a childhood passion that remained in the background until it all connected. It was like natural medicine. Rouvas can say studying architecture was the greatest time of his life.
He was involved with other crafts and arts, like building old motorcycles or refurbishing high-end architectural models for New York City development firms. Architecture always kept his life aligned and determined while building patience. He would take a good drive or work on bikes with the guys in the garage, sharing ideas and focuses. Rouvas strongly believes in nurturing the soul with good friends and family time. Conditioning can be major in growth of any kind.
